Connectable instruments include Memory HiLogger LR8450 (plug-in) and LR8450-01 (wireless LAN version). Operating conditions: -10°C to 50°C, humidity ≤ 80%RH (non-condensing). Storage conditions: -20°C to 60°C, humidity ≤ 80%RH (non-condensing). The instrument meets JIS D 1601 class 1A vibration resistance standards. Accessories include instruction manual, mounting screws and wire label.

The instrument has 5 input channels, each of which can be set to measure voltage or strain, using push-button terminals and DIP switches to select the measurement mode. Supports strain measurement by strain gauge with 1-gage (2-wire/3-wire), 2-gage and 4-gage methods. Input type is balanced differential, sampling channels simultaneously. Voltage measurement resolution from 50 nV to 10 μV depending on range; strain measurement resolution from 0.05 to 10 με depending on range.
