SPO Digital Phosphor Technology in Oscilloscopes
The SDS1104X-E oscilloscope represents a significant step forward in SIGLENT's oscilloscope technology, featuring Super Phosphor Oscilloscope (SPO) technology. This technology enables rapid waveform capture and provides up to 256 levels of intensity grading based on signal occurrence frequency. As a result, electronics engineers can more easily identify intermittent glitches, spurious pulses, and other abnormal events hidden within signal sequences that conventional display technologies may fail to reveal clearly.
Enhanced Arbitrary Waveform Generation with 16-Bit Vertical Resolution
In the signal generation segment, the next-generation SDG1032X Plus waveform generator stands out with its 16-bit vertical resolution, upgraded from 14-bit, and deep waveform memory of up to 8 Mpts per channel. Combining EasyPulse and TrueArb technologies, the instrument generates pulse waveforms with very low jitter while maintaining amplitude stability at higher frequencies. These capabilities make it a valuable solution for applications requiring precise waveform generation beyond the needs of conventional mid-range function generators.
High Sensitivity for RF and EMI Test Applications
For radio frequency analysis and electromagnetic interference assessment, the SSA3021X Plus spectrum analyzer offers a displayed average noise level (DANL) as low as -161 dBm/Hz. Its low intrinsic noise floor enables engineers to identify and distinguish very weak signals during RF troubleshooting and pre-compliance electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing before products enter the market.
Low-Ripple Programmable DC Power for Sensitive Components
When powering semiconductor devices or sensitive telecommunications equipment during testing, the SPD3303X-E programmable DC power supply offers low ripple and noise, specified at less than 350 µVrms / 3 mVpp. Its real-time waveform display and setting resolution of 10 mV/10 mA help users monitor voltage and current behavior during load testing. These features support more precise evaluation of power supply performance and load response without necessarily requiring a separate oscilloscope for basic monitoring tasks.
Dynamic Load Operation and Internal Resistance Measurement with DC Electronic Loads
For testing batteries, chargers, and switching power supplies, the SDL1020X programmable DC electronic load supports dynamic load operation at frequencies of up to 25 kHz. Unlike basic electronic loads, it allows users to program continuous load changes with adjustable slew rates, enabling more realistic simulation of operating conditions. This capability is useful for evaluating transient response and characterizing power sources under varying load conditions, including internal resistance measurements when an appropriate test method is applied.
