The screwed glands torque test apparatus is designed according to IEC60598-1 clause 4.1.2.5, IEC60884-1, GB2099.1 clause 24.6 and GB7000.1 clause 4.12.5. It is applied to test the screwed glands against the torque strength. Screwed glands shall be fitted with a cylindrical metal rod having a diameter equal to the nearest whole number of millimeters below the internal diameter of the packing. The glands shall then be tightened by means of a suitable spanner, apply a proper force at a distance of 250 mm from the axis of the screwed gland on the spanner for 1 minute, the luminaire and the glands shall show no damage.
