When a factory equipped with a rooftop solar array experiences a sudden drop in power output, it often sparks a dispute between the facility's electrical team and the solar installation contractor, with each side prone to blaming the other. A solar panel reports a drop in output, yet the entire array continues to operate normally where does the fault lie? The answer often becomes apparent the moment a field engineer measures two fundamental parameters: open-circuit voltage (Voc) and short-circuit current (Isc).
